I was honored to be a part of this year’s conference in my home state of Texas in Dallas, to welcome and address participants as a keynote to 5,000 educators, administrators and adult learners for their annual conference. COABE’s mission is centered around the education, professional development, empowerment, and service to over 2 million adult learners in the U.S. The constituency they serve in the various programs—such as adult learning to advance economic mobility in America, and the Move Ahead Adult Learning Program, English as a second language, as well as many others— are centric to my personal passion and heart.

I was honored to be able to share my LostGirl story and leadership roadmap, as well as lead a panel session for student adult learners. The event ended with icing on the cake—sharing the power of paying it forward at their evening Educate & Elevate Foundation Gala.

I shared my LostGirl story and truths from my roadmap journey with participants to inspire, encourage, and thank them for the tremendous way in which they serve.

I have done hundreds of events, and I have to honestly say that this one was my absolute favorite. The power of “Investment in Human Potential” cannot be overstated with this association and team! Until we meet again, wishing COABE and the team the very best this year and beyond!
