National Day of Prayer – Capitol Hill - Washington DC May 4, 2023

Rebecca attended the National Day of Prayer on Capitol Hill which gathered together with church, political leaders and business leaders of faith to pray for our Nation and unite with a common goal of praying for national and local leaders as well as the unity and healing of our Nation. President Biden on May 4 issued a proclamation reiterating the value prayer has had in America “I call upon the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, in accordance with their own faith and conscience, for our many freedoms and blessings, and I invite all people of faith to join me in asking for God’s continued guidance, mercy, and protection” President Harry S. Truman proclaimed a National Day of Prayer to be observed on July 4, 1952 and every President since then has proclaimed and recognized the importance of prayer.
